It's always a pleasant surprise when I come across a piece I've never seen before, and so it was with this bag. It took me quite a while to even find a photo of another, so can't be many floating around. From what little I can find this is an early-war USAAF Flight Engineer bag, obviously not widely manufactured, but a beautiful example of a utilitarian bag, that can now have a second life. It's a great size for a little day bag or a perfect laptop bag.
Condition
This came to me pretty rough. I've had to replace the original zipper which has been cut off with a matching WW2 talon, and slight enlarge the leather tabs at either end of the zipper to repair some pre-existing damage. She's now in great shape and ready for the next 80 years!
