A simply wonderful example of the classic 1950s L-2B flight jacket. This example, a MIL-J-7448A model, was made in 1955, one of the first of the L-2B contracts. It comes fully any originally patched to Lieutenant Colonel McFadden who flew B-52s with the 77th Bomb Squadron. Unfortunately I haven't found much more information on him, though it does look like a 96th Bomb Squadron (another SAC B-52 unit) patch was removed at some point from above the left breast, so he clearly spent quite some time with Strategic Air Command.
I've been hunting flight jackets for a long time, and finding fully patched 1950s examples is surprisingly hard. This is a really rare treat for a serious collector.
Condition
Excellent mint condition. Some very light moth nips and one tiny hole above the 77th patch, otherwise perfect.
