The classic WW2 M43 field jacket that would be worn well into the 1950s. This particular example features a super cool painted back, which places it at Narsarssuak Air Force Base in northern Greenland. During the war this was an important ferry stop for aircraft making their way to and from Europe. Postwar the USAF would retain a light presence their, clearly at some point including F-89 Scorpions - the aircraft featured on the jacket in silhouette.
Condition
This is was used, but solid. There are a couple of small areas of wear around the front pockets, but this would make a great display piece or a very unique piece to wear
