An iconic piece of cold weather military clothing. Initially introduced in the early postwar period as the olive green N-2, the design would truly come into it's own when it changed to sage green in 1957. The example is from one of the earliest contracts for the MIL-J-6278D specification, made in 1963. By this point the design has lost the oxygen clip to the chest, but still retained wolverine fur around the hood.
Condition
This appears to be deadstock with no signs of wear. There are a couple of storage marks to the nylon, one on the sleeve, the other on the inside by the zipper, and a little verdigris on the hood zipper, otherwise absolutely flawless.
