A classic piece of USAF kit, first introduced the late 1930s and the used through various iterations until the 1970s. This version is from the mid-1960s, with the bag itself dated 1966. More importantly, this is tagged to WW2 legend, triple-ace Clarence Emil "Bud" Anderson. Andeson, who sadly passed recently at the amazing age of 102, served in the Air Force from 1942 through 1972 serving in WW2 and through into Vietnam. In WW2 he flew with the 357th FG in his P-51 named Old Crow - a number of restored P-51s fly in the colors of Old Crow. Bud would fly 116 missions and a tally of 16.25 enemy aircraft shotdown. He's a true American legend, a hero and I would love to see this bag in a true USAF collection.
