A super cool post-Vietnam helmet bag patched to an USAF F-4 phantom pilot. These were the standard helmet bag of the air force from the 1960s, this example dated 1976. More importantly are the patches. The main steer patch I'm unsure about, but the hangover patch, I believe belongs to the 3501st Pilot Training Squadron, H-Flight based at Reese AFB, TX (might make sense of the steer!). The 100 missions Vietnam was worn by experience pilots with serious flight time over Vietnam, and the 43 Squadron RAF patch represents an F4 squadron, so out pilot likely spent some time flying with them on exchange.
Condition
This is in good used condition, and has no damage. Some of the patches are unpicking and I can restitch these if the new owner desires.
