This is a true flight jacket collectors jacket. I believe this dates from the late 60s-early 70s, completely handmade for a general officer, embroidered and patched with the classic TAC logo. But more importantly, the pilot himself is a bit of a legend.
Major General Neil Eddins joined the USAF in 1951 and served until 1984. In his time he was one of the USAF's most remarkable fighter pilots. From 1966-69 General Eddins commanded the famous USAF Thunderbirds display team. Over the course of his career he logged over 5600 flight hours, including 260 combat hours and 100 missions over North Vietnam. You can read more about him here.
