Yet another great example of a locally made souvenir piece! This outstanding Tiger Stripe camo garment bag was likely made in the Philippines in the mid-1970s. The camo itself is of a post-Vietnam variety, a locally print Filipino version made on a heavy cotton poplin. This has been custom embroidered with a USMC EGA, a name and the locations that Marine had either served or visited on his tour. Finding a piece of tiger stripe of any variety in a piece this big is really rather rare, this is definitely one for the tiger collectors!
Condition.
Used but lovely shape. The material is that fresh you can still see the embroiderers marks around the fonts and EGA. The original 1970s YKK zipper is missing a couple of teeth, but this doesn't stop it being used in any way. There is one tiny repair on the reverse near the bottom corner made with army sateen.
