I was lucky enough to find two of these amazing, completely fresh USMC cap covers, both made from HBT and fresh as the day they were made. The marines introduced the cap cover during WW2, a derivative of the army's utility cap. Made from study herringbone twill, the design would slightly evolve over the years. This iteration is from around the Korean War period, when the stitching was introduced across the top of the EGA.
