I was lucky enough this completely fresh USMC cap cover, of the original WW2 variety. This isn't one of the later Korean War versions that can be found easily, it's the much rarer WW2 version, and completely unused. The marines introduced the cap cover during the latter part of WW2, and it was initially a derivative of the army's utility cap. The 1944 pattern, made from study herringbone twill, would slightly evolve over the years and is still used in a similar form today.
