The classic piece of WW2 frogskin, the P44 pants. Designed as a reversible garment allowing the marine to change from the beach pattern to the jungle pattern as the environment required. Used extensively by the Marine Corps in the pacific, throughout the Korean War, and by the French in Indochina. The key design feature here is the large pocket across the buttocks designed to hold a poncho to keep one's bum dry when sitting on wet ground.
These are in used but good, solid wearable condition. The colours and strong on both sides and the hbt fabric is in good condition bar a few small holes on the bum. There have been a number of professional repairs made including to the crotch (to the left of the button placket), the pockets (restitched) and the ankle cuffs (all pictures)
- No tags, but fit a modern 36 long
- Waist 36"
- Inside leg 30" (but be mindful these are a low crotch)
