The classic piece of WW2 frogskin, the P44 pants. Designed as a reversible garment allowing the marine to change from the beach pattern to the jungle pattern as the environment required. Used extensively by the Marine Corps in the pacific, throughout the Korean War, and by the French in Indochina. The key design feature here is the large pocket across the buttocks designed to hold a poncho to keep one's bum dry when sitting on wet ground.
Condition.
These came to me in rough shape with a very poor repair across the rear. I've removed and re-set that repair, felling seams where necessary, and made the repair from the inside. Given the damage, it's about as clean as it possibly could be. The repair to the leg is original. These are in perfectly wearable shape, but do expect signs of use etc.
