Made of the classic HBT material, the monkey pants was developed and introduced toward the tail end of the pacific war. My research seems to suggest they saw limited use in Okinawa, but would be used extensively in Korea, and by the French in Indochine. The front on profile is similar in appearance to the classic US Army pants, but the defining feature is the pocket on the reverse, which was designed to carry a waterproof incase of rain, and as a pillow to sit on.
Condition:
These are in used but good condition. There are a couple of knicks in the fabric but solid and very wearable. The back right button was missing when I got these, but I've replace this with a matching USCM donut button.
