A nice example of a private purchase personal kit bag, likely used by a Navy sailor. The style of Talon zipper is a classic late 30s to early 40s, putting the manufacturing of this bag likely in the pre-early ww2 period. This is named to Robert J Detrick who joined the Navy in 1940 and served as an Aviation Machinist Mate throughout the war.
Condition
Used but solid. The leather shows consistent wear throughout but it still strong and useable.
