Something of an unusual jacket. Visually very similar to the 1930s Army Mackinaw, this one seems to have been made on a Works Progress Administration (WPA) contract direct for the Wisconsin State Guard. The WPA existed between 1935 and 1943, operating as part of the New Deal in a similar fashion to the CCC. A nice belted wool mackinaw complete with its original WPA oil cloth tag in the neck, WIS SG patch to the shoulder and rank to the cuff.
Condition
Very few signs of use, excellent mint condition.
