I'm not typically a massive hunter of Eastern European pieces, but there is something uniquely beautiful about these wonderful sniper smocks. Designed in the 1950s for the Yugoslavian army, they were heavily influenced by the Soviet design aesthetic of the time. There are I believe, two variants of this camo, one a green/dark brown colourway, and this a blue/taupe colourway. The top itself is a lightweight cotton, its has no pockets, rather button down slits to access pockets beneath. The hood is massive and buttons up tight either around the face or neck. Across the entirety of the jacket, small fabric loops are attached to use as holders for camouflaging foliage. A very cool piece of functional design, with a beautiful and complex camo pattern that now seems way ahead of its time.
Condition
Used but excellent. One small repair to the front but otherwise mint.
