Barbour Solway 1980s DPM

As anyone who regularly follows me will know, not only am I British, but a huge wax jacket lover, I've had more wax over the years than I care to think. Barbour is up there with my favourite brands, and this is foremost amongst my favourite styles, the classic Solway DPM. Whilst never officially issued to the British Army - though I had heard that some unit procured them - these jackets did come about as a result of the Falklands. So popular were the Durhams with soldiers, the Barbour created a camo version in the Solway and another pattern called the Military. This is an example of the former, a wonderful Solway. This comes with an RAF 360 Squadron patch to the sleeve, they flew Electronic Surveillance and Countermeasure Canberras. 

Condition

This is in nice used condition with a good strong DPM colour. It's been sterilised with the tags being removed, and did have the belt loops cut off, however I happened to have a set of those in my spares bag after a previous repair and I've replaced them. It will come with a wax cotton dpm belt I had made around 10 years ago from another of these missing its belt.
