Carhartt "Triple Name" 1960s Barn Jacket

Carthartt, Headlight and Finck, three of the giants of early 20th century workwear. In 1962 Carhartt would buy both Crown Overall (Feb 62) and W.M. Fink & Co (June 62), amalgamating the three brands under the "triple name" logo. Unfortunately it wouldn't last long. Carhartt would consolidate under the single brand name, introducing first a shorted lived Long C logo, and then the now iconic swirled C logo in 1966. The "triple name" logos are amongst the harder to find of the Carhartt brand, and it's great to offer this rare example.

The piece itself is a classic duck cotton barn with a bellowed back and troy blanket lining. The buttons bear the classic Railcar logo, with the same buttons across the chest, top pocket and cuffs. The UFO riveted corners to the pockets is always a nice detail, as is the contrasting corduroy collar.

Condition

Used but solid. There is wear throughout, particularly the hem, right pocket and cuff. Loads of wear left.
