A simply iconic piece of American vintage clothing, a incredibly rare! These wonderful style of jackets were incredibly popular in the 1930s but seem to have really died out during the war and as more modern warm weather fabrics became common. This example, very unusually has a button front closure rather than a zipper. It's tagged simply "Genuine Leather Horsehide Fronts' and I can't find any other reference to this company beyond a few photos of another 19303 Grizzly.

Condition

Used but excellent. Both the leather and fur and it great shape with just a few areas of wear around the right shoulder. I've very carefully hand-repaired a popped seam on the lowe right pocket (see pictures). A couple of buttons, on on each cuff are missing, but i can help a newer owner find suitable replacements should they want. There is one small 1/2" hole in the lining and evidence of an internal popper seam having been repaired at some point. A very wearable piece, however please note as with any 90+ year old jacket the leather should be treated with care.
