RAF 1943 Longines 6B/159 Navigators Watch
If you listen closely to this watch, not only will you hear ticking, if you listed hard, you'll hear to unmistakeable roar of Merlin engines. The 6B/159 specification, as made by a number of brands including Omega, JLC and Cyma, was the standard issue RAF pilot's watch and would be found in Spitfires and Lancasters throughout much of the war. This example, dated and serial numbered to 1943 comes from Longines. It's in great shape, with original dial, hands, crown and case! The crystal was replaced during its recent servicing!
Condition
Excellent used condition. Recently serviced and keeping great time +/- 30s. Some beautiful patina to the dial. Please note, these are snapback/front cases and should be worn with care.
Please be mindful, this is a 80 year old watch and should be treated accordingly! It's not going to be waterproof, and I wouldn't wear it to do any strenuous activity or sports etc!
