One of the most beautiful and unique pieces of clothing ever made! This stunning 1950s design was made for the Royal Navy firefighting crews. The heavy melton wool shell is remarkably fire resistant, and this would have been worn as part of suit with a matching pair of pants.
But what a beauty of a design this is, such a simple garment, but with beautiful combinations of detailing, including the thick rope closure with wooden toggle! An absolutely stunning piece of British design, that these days are horrifically rare - I haven't seen another for sale in years!
Condition
Mint condition, ttunning shape, few signs of wear and no damage, not even any mothnips, and very clean for a white garment!
