The 1960 Olympic Games, held in Rome. It's funny, the Olympian from whom I got this set said that these sets were far too warm to wear in Italy, and I fully understand why! Most famously the 1960 games were the first appearance to the world of a young 18 year old boxer, who having won a few titles in his native Kentucky and even few national US titles, came from nowhere to win gold. His name was Cassius Clay, and the world would come to know him as Muhammed Ali. He's pictured wearing the exact same set as this.
As I mentioned, this set is named, but out of respect for this athlete, I'll only tell the name to the new owner.
Condition
Good used condition. There is some light yellowing and staining around the USA but this may come out with cleaning - I've only given it a light handwash. There is the very faint shadow on patches on both shoulders.
