US Army 1964 Exposed Button 1st Pattern Jungle Jacket with Patches

 A much sought after item, the 1963 advisor type Jungle Jacket. The design is very much descendent of the M42 paratrooper jump jacket, and the jungle jacket would become the standard fatigue wear of the US military in Vietnam. This early 1964 first pattern version features exposed buttons, which would be covered on later patterns as they were getting caught in the bush, and epaulettes. This example is beautifully patches and embroidered to a US Army Major called Miller serving with USARV. The SSI and tapes are all incountry made and the collar has been direct embroidered. A really beautiful example with more research certainly possible.
