US Army Air Force 1944 Seth Thomas 24hr Clock

The rarest of the WW2 Seth Thomas/Chelsea clocks, the 24hr United States Army Air Forces 24hr clock! These would have been used in Headquarters and Operations Rooms, and rather unusually for a WW2 clock has two hour hands - similar to the GMT function on a watch. The two hour hands are currently set 5 hours apart showing (for me) US Eastern Time and UK time +5 hours.

Seth Thomas produced clocks for the US military from 1911 through WW2 and this is a wonderful example with an April 1944 date stamp on the movement. Keeping amazing time and recently lightly serviced with the movement cleaned.

Condition

Beautiful used condition. The dial has some fading and patina. The movement is keeping good time, within 1 min over 24 hours. Note, the seconds hand is a little delicate and should not be handled.
