One of the rarest pieces of military clothing, particularly military denim out there. This is a 1918 model brown denim jumper. Similar in design to the much more common brown denim of the pre-ww2 period, these were issued first in a light brown around the end of WW1. Used for fatigue wear for only a few years before being replaced completely by blue, the brown denim variations are now extremely hard to find and much sought-after by collector of militaria and denim alike.

Condition

This is used but good condition. The denim is still surprisingly thick and strong. Both the label in the pocket is present, as is the still readable Union Made tag, plus there is stitching remaining from the label in the collar. There is one small darned repair to the left of the button placket, and the rusted metal buttons have been removed (very cleanly) and replaced with sewn buttons. Colour is still strong with a solid brown fading to light tan.
