US Navy 1905/1910 Decanter

Even if you are the most hardcore Navy collector, I bet you don't have this! These amazing pieces are relics from the time when the US Navy was not only led by the most refined gentlemen, but used to project US diplomacy across the world. The President and senior diplomats would travel on USN ships, and be expected to entertain guests in the finery they would be accustomed to. This beautiful c. 1905 - 1910 engraved crystal decanter would have been used by the most senior officers in their state and dining rooms. These are unbelievably rare, and that any survive is honestly a miracle! Please note, whilst this is very much useable, I would strongly recommend reading up on safe use of antique lead crystal, which I believe this to be. 

Condition

Good used condition. The crystal itself has some texture through it, and there are some minor scratches etc. The mouth/lip has a couple of tiny flea bites. The stopper is a replacement.

This will be shipped very carefully in a decanter package and very well wrapped, it will be bulky.
