US Navy Vietnam Patched Denim Jacket
Whilst the US Navy officially stopped issuing denim jackets after the war, they were still a very popular item amongst sailors, and there are numerous different variations of private purchase pieces the were used into the 1960s. This is a beauty of an example.
This piece was very likely made in Japan in the early-mid 60s, the YKK zipper is the style used on many Okinawan made items from the Vietnam era, as is the style of patchwork. This was made for an electrician who served on both submarines and aircraft carriers.
Condition
Good used condition. I've carefully repaired a popped seam to the armpit and on restited the Catfish patch.
