Designed and first introduced in the mid-1960s, the CWU-7/P was part of the USAF's Cold Weather Uniform (CWU) system to replace the outdated 1950s designed jackets. This particular piece was issued to groundcrew and mechanics, and very occasionally your find them patched out accordingly! This particular example 1974 example carries all the correct patching, high-vis reflective tape to the rear, chest and cuffs, rank stripes, USAF tape, and interestingly a Master Explosive Ordnance badge. These jackets are typically destroyed, so finding one patched (there are signs a name tape was removed) and in such great shape is a rare treat.

Condition

These jackets are typically destroyed, so finding one patched and in such great shape is a rare treat. There are signs a name tape was removed, and a little fraying to the cuffs but otherwise great.
