USAF Starlifter "Flying Hospital" Patched L-2B
Quite simply, one of the finest vintage flight jackets I've even seen. This piece belonged to a doctor flying MEDEVAC flights out of Vietnam in the mid-late 1960s. To the exterior is an already excellent flight jacket, named to a Captain SJ Philips, but on the inside are some mindblowingly rare custom patches, 5 in total, all made in Japan including one Snoopy. This is honestly as good a piece as I've ever found.
Condition
When this arrived with me it had been very badly treated, heavily stained and destroyed by moths. It's been extensively cleaned to removed a large red oil stain (some remains can be seen in the lower lining) and the knits have been replaced with NOS originals. She's now in great shape, a beautiful piece
